Langian
Langian is a documentary project on pigeon racing, exploring themes of belonging and a sense of place. The images and words inside relate to the pigeons' innate ability to navigate home, to human nature and our desire to belong.
In this project, I collaborated with designer Becca Whitening, who wrote words that are featured in my publication.
'It feels bizarre to me that some creatures, like pigeons, carry home inside them as if it’s an organ whilst others spend their whole lives looking for it outside themselves. Home to them moves away from being just a word to an innate feeling.'
For this body of work, I was awarded mentorship and a membership at
Photo Fusion, a photography studio in London.

Fenlands & Fishing
This is a documentary project on the fens and docks in Lincolnshire, where my mum grew up. It was shot exclusively on analogue.
Fenlands and Fishing combines landscape, portraiture, and banal architecture photography to create a sense of place.
This has been created as a physical 289 x 380 mm tabloid.
